Unicon begins a new chapter with new owner / Strategic partnership with Fujitsu intensified

Germany, Karlsruhe, November 03, 2021 – Unicon continues to expand its position as leading technology company in the field of end-user computing with a new major shareholder. As the software company from Karlsruhe announced today, the management, together with a family-backed investor as partner, has acquired all shares in Unicon from Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH as of November 01, 2021. Parallel to the sale of the company shares, Fujitsu and Unicon have decided to further intensify their strategic partnership. All customer agreements will be continued without any changes. As a result of this reorganization the company will put an even stronger focus on the IT channel as part of the Unicon Partner Program.

Unicon was founded in 1993 and is a pioneer in Thin Client software. With the hardware agnostic operating system eLux and the management solution Scout, Unicon offers intuitive, secure and lean solutions for end-user computing, which are running effectively on more than two million devices worldwide.

Unicon, together with its new partner, will be able to strive for growth while focusing on the following areas: The product portfolio as well as the Unicon Partner Program with its diverse network of technology- and OEM-partners, resellers and distributors will be extended. In addition, the company plans to strengthen its workforce and enter new markets, both nationally and globally. The close cooperation with Fujitsu will be extended and intensified. Unicon and Fujitsu have renewed their strategic partnership and as a result all customer agreements remain unchanged. Furthermore, customers of both partners will continue to have access to flexible, cost-effective and secure cloud computing solutions with Unicon software and Fujitsu hardware. In addition, Fujitsu remains one of the key distributors of Unicon products.
