CPS on Web provides two kinds of service.

Our free service allows you to make tables, graphs, etc., and to examine and search the documentation.

If you want to extract and download data, we offer two different billing options:

Pay-as-you-go: Extract data for 10 cents per variable per survey year. Each time you request an extraction you will be advised of the price and given an opportunity to change or abandon it.
For individuals only, not groups.

Subscription: Extract unlimited data for a month or a year. Subscription price options are shown in the following tables.

Billing schedule
Monthly and annual subscribers will be billed within a few days of sign-up. Pay-as-you-go users will be billed monthly, after the free trial is finished.

Definitions
Monthly subscription: valid for 30 days from the date you sign up.

Annual subscription: valid for 365 days from the date you sign up.

Per variable per survey year (pay-as-you-go subscription): one year of data for one variable. When multiple data files exist for a single calendar year, e.g. 1988 and 1988B for the March survey, they are priced as separate years.

Series: a set of CPS survey supplements, e.g. the Annual Demographic and Income Supplement, now known as the Annual Social and Economic Supplement (The March Survey).

Individual: one person.

Group: multiple persons at one institution, accessing the Internet via a group of related IP addresses.
